Learn about Jewish History and Jewish Innovation

Through UCR's Study Abroad programs, we send students every year to study in Israel. Want to learn Hebrew in an immersive environment, then why not go to Ulpan at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem or at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev? Or if you prefer the beach, why not take classes at the Israel Institute of Technology (Technion) in Haifa?

Check out these programs in Israel including study and internships offered through the University of California:

Ben-Gurion Univ. of the Negev: The number one university choice for Israeli undergraduate students, Ben-Gurion University in Beersheva is a leader in sustainable development, environmental studies, global health, and Israel studies. See especially the summer programs at BGU, including the International Bachelors of Excellence (IBEX) which comes with full funding for tuition and living expenses.

Israel Institute of Technology • Technion/Neubauer: Enjoy a unique and prestigious opportunity to do an internship and also choose courses from three tracks: Engineering & Science, Entrepreneurship & Innovation, and Pre-Med/Pre-Health.

The Hebrew Univ. of Jerusalem: A flexible, interdisciplinary program comprising Hebrew language, Jewish studies, Israel or Middle East studies, and a diverse range of other courses spanning the humanities, social sciences, and sciences.
